Respirex Tychem TK Austria

The insulating, gas-tight suit of Type 1A - ET with normal robustness was developed to protect emergency responders from toxic or corrosive gases, liquids, and solid chemicals.

The suit is made of DuPont™ Tychem® TK, a highly durable and lightweight seven-layer chemical barrier laminate composite.

Features

• Insulating design for self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) worn inside the suit
• Gas-tight zipper from head to lower leg, covered by double zipper flap with velcro closure
• Protection against liquid and gaseous chemicals (Type 1), infectious agents, and chemical warfare agents
• Internal leakage tested according to EN 1073-2:2002, Class 3 with Nominal Protection Factor (NPF) >9090
• Glove adapter for tool-free replacement of gloves
• Two-piece protective glove system, consisting of a Kemblok™ chemical barrier inner glove, joined with a neoprene outer glove for mechanical protection
• Two overpressure valves to maintain a comfortable working pressure inside the suit
• Large, flexible chemical-resistant visor for a wide field of vision
• Batwing sleeves allow the wearer to withdraw their hand from the glove to read the pressure gauge and other equipment inside the suit.
• Adjustable inner waist belt
• Five years maintenance-free storage, maximum storage life 10 years.
• Leak test according to ISO 17491-1:2012 (Section 5.3, Method 2) ex-factory to confirm the gas tightness of the suit.
• Optionally with permanently attached or removable chemical protective boots or integrated sock feet.
