Electrodes for children (1-8 years, <25 kg, 50 joules).

This package contains a pair of pediatric defibrillation pads for the Lifeline VIEW, ECG, or PRO AED. The pediatric AED pads can be stored pre-installed in the AED. The Lifeline AED VIEW, ECG, and PRO pediatric pads are designed for single use and have a 2-year lifespan.

Children can also fall victim to acute heart failure. A child weighing 25 kg or less (approximately 8 years and younger) can absorb less energy than an adult. Therefore, Defibtech pediatric AED pads contain a resistance that reduces the shock from 150 joules to 50 joules. Additionally, the pediatric AED pads have a smaller surface area, making them easier to apply to a child. Defibtech recommends keeping pediatric AED pads near an AED if it is located in a location with large numbers of children. Typical examples include schools, swimming pools, sports facilities, etc.
