Isolation and Decontamination

Isolation

To prevent the spread of highly contagious pathogens and contamination, isolation is one of the most important initial measures in crisis management.

A distinction is made between short-term, temporary solutions - such as those that can occur with a mass influx of several infected or contaminated individuals - and long-term isolation solutions with treatment options. The isolator boxes available for temporary use can be modularly adapted to the number of people and simultaneously used for triage purposes. Efficient isolation at the site of infection is the most effective measure to contain a pandemic before it even develops.

Since isolation wards in hospitals are very limited, BSL-3/4 Bio-Boxes are ideal as mobile ICU stations. These can be set up anywhere and are ready for use within a very short time.

Decontamination

The decontamination of individuals, patients, and equipment takes place in decontamination showers. Inflatable decon showers allow for quick setup and short deployment times.

If larger groups of people need to be decontaminated, decontamination tents with 2 or 3 lanes (men, women, prone patients) are used. Such hazardous situations include terrorist attacks or armed conflicts.
