Respirex GTR Chemprotex X Austria

The fully encapsulating gas-tight suit, Type 1A - ET, of normal robustness, was developed to protect emergency responders from toxic or corrosive gases, liquids, and solid chemicals.

The suit is made of Chemprotex™ X, a highly durable and lightweight multi-layered chemical barrier fabric.

Features

• Fully encapsulating design for self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) worn inside the suit
• Air-independent, gas-tight zipper from the head to the lower leg, covered by a double zipper flap with hook-and-loop closure
• Protection against liquid and gaseous chemicals (Type 1), infectious agents, and chemical warfare agents
• Internal leakage tested according to EN 1073-2:2002, Class 3 with nominal protection factor (NPF) >9090
• Glove adapter for tool-free glove replacement
• Two-piece protective glove system consisting of a Kemblok™ chemical barrier inner glove, connected to a neoprene outer glove for mechanical protection
• Two overpressure valves to maintain a comfortable working pressure inside the suit
• Chemically resistant, laminated, rigid visor that provides clear, distortion-free vision and a wide field of view
• Bat-wing sleeves allow the wearer to remove their hand from the glove to read the pressure gauge and other equipment inside the suit
• Adjustable inner waist belt
• Fifteen years of shelf life, with an annual or post-use leak test required
• Internal pressure test according to ISO 17491-1:2012 (Section 5.3, Method 2) ex-works, to confirm the gas-tightness of the suit
• Optionally available with permanently attached or replaceable chemical protective boots or sock foot parts
