HITT Coordination Exercise
In October 2025, the HITT (High Infection Transport Team) special unit, together with the Styrian State Medical Directorate and LKH West, conducted a coordination exercise.
The scenario simulated the transfer and handover of a highly infectious patient to the isolation unit at LKH West in Graz. In an emergency, such an incident requires a strictly coordinated operation between the rescue organization, the hospital, and the responsible authorities.
This very well and professionally executed exercise demonstrated that the state of Styria is well prepared for high-infection emergencies.
